Which breaker do I need for my panel?
It comes down to three things: the current of the circuit you are protecting, the service voltage (typically 120/240 V in Venezuela) and the type of panel it mounts into. For homes and small commercial premises, the THQL series covers 20 to 60 A in 1 and 2 poles. If you need more current or three poles, the THQC series goes up to 100 A. Send us a photo of the panel and the load to be protected and we will confirm the exact part number.
My breaker is discontinued. What is the equivalent?
This is the most common question we get. ABB acquired the GE Industrial Solutions low voltage business, so the THQL, THQC and Record Plus series are still manufactured under ABB with the same part numbers. In most cases you do not need a different replacement — it is the same reference. For older equipment we keep a cross-reference guide by application.
Are you an official ABB distributor?
Yes. MARPE, C.A. together with MARPE COLOMBIA S.A.S is a certified distributor of the ABB brand, which allows us to guarantee genuine product, fast procurement and competitive costs within Venezuela and Colombia. We share the certificate on request.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, we ship throughout Venezuela. In Maracaibo and San Francisco we offer immediate delivery for stocked items. For the rest of the country, lead time depends on destination and volume; we confirm it when quoting.
Is the product approved for use in Venezuela?
Yes. All our product is approved by SENCAMER, the national standards, quality, metrology and technical regulations authority. That means it meets the legal requirements for sale and installation in the country.
Do you sell to hardware stores and distributors?
Yes, it is a significant part of our business. We serve hardware stores, sub-distributors and panel builders with volume terms. Write to us indicating which series you carry and how often you purchase.
What is the difference between THQL and THQC?
Both are thermal-magnetic breaker series rated 120/240 V with 10 kA interrupting capacity. THQL is the standard residential line, available in 1 and 2 poles up to 60 A. THQC offers higher current, reaching 100 A, and is available in 2 and 3 poles, which makes it suitable for commercial and light industrial applications.
Do you build custom switchboards?
Yes. We manufacture medium and low voltage switchboards, power houses and compact substations, as well as DC and AC systems for auxiliary services. Our engineering team handles the design based on your specifications or on a survey we carry out on site.
Do you service switchboards that are already installed?
Yes. We carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on low voltage switchboards and medium voltage switchgear: point-to-point wiring checks, closing and opening tests, current and voltage injection, insulation measurement, mechanism and interlock inspection. We also support pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Do you repair power transformers in Venezuela?
Yes. We manufacture, refurbish and maintain power transformers, with crews equipped for field work. Physical-chemical testing, dissolved gas analysis by chromatography and oxidation inhibitor analysis are processed at accredited laboratories in Colombia.
